Our climb will border on the one hand the survivor woods and on the other the edge of the casting of 2002. Crossing a tumble environment and unusual, with the ground dotted with lava bombs of all shapes and sizes, we will reach the buttonhole of craters and hornitos of eruption of 1923 and that of 2002 to 2003 at the foot of Black Mountain. Looking closely at these formations, fractures and craters, we can fully understand the dynamics of an eruption and realize what should be the scenario.

Crossing a beautiful beech forest, where we will see the cannon stones (left by the cooling of lava around the trunk of a burned tree), then we continue at a time of Timparossa refuge from which we will pause to observe the special red earth, rich in ferrous materials.
