The city of Ragusa, capital of the province, crossed by the river Irminio and bounded by a chain of hills, is divided into two parts the new and the old part, called Ragusa, built on the ruins of ancient cities and completely rebuilt after the earthquake of 1963. Ragusa and Ragusa offer beautiful historical center with a breathtaking view.
Walking through the streets of the city you will find the Cathedral Square or the Portal of St. George near the beautiful Giardini Iblei.
After lunch (included in the excursion) visit Modica, in an exquisite Sicilian Baroque rebuilt after the 1963 earthquake, like the other towns of the Val di Noto.

Divided into two parts, Modica Alta and Modica Bassa, linked by numerous stairways, Modica is from the 16th century, the tradition of the Sicilian art of chocolate making.
