The Legend tells that the decision to shoot the film of Francis Ford Coppola's "The Godfather" was set to be filmed in Savoca and Forza d'Agro but filming was put to a stop when an “unofficial tax” was asked to be paid. FFC decided to take the film in Corleone, but they asked again, to pay an "unofficial tax" so they decided to submit to the mafia and request to move the filming to the two hills of the eastern slope.

After the pick up point which will be agreed in the booking process we will begin your excursion from Savoca. We will immediately stumble across the first structure left intact from 1972: The Bar Vitelli (Trimarchi Palace), where Michael Corleone asks Mr. Vitelli permission to woo his daughter Apollonia. The Second location is the Church of St. Nicholas where the wedding between Apollonia and Michael Corleone is celebrated, this scene was not included in the movie, but it certainly must-see location, The Capuchin Monastery with adjoining crypt containing the mummified bodies savocese haute bourgeoisie of late 1500, the ancient Church of Calvary, the Gate of the City and the Ancient Prison.

From Savoca then we will drive to Forza d'Agro where we will find the Cathedral of Santa Maria SS Annunziata that appears in the first and second episode of Colossal. Leaving Forza d'Agro, our guides will take you to the last location of the Tour, the Giardini Naxos Rail Station, one of the scenes of the third episode of the Godfather, but also the protagonist of other films such as Luc Besson's 'Le Grand Bleu' Piccolo Diavolo by Roberto Benigni.
